Evolve 2025 –

These works on paper were developed from the small, semi-abstract drawings made in the summer, each recalling a specific moment from the day.

Cropped and reimagined, these new pieces evolve intuitively through successive layers of transparent and opaque acrylic gouache.

Through a process of reworking and transformation, the images find their final form. Colour is chosen to evoke mood and atmosphere, while light adds a dynamic play — the flicker of reflection, the shifting of shadow, the way it fractures through glass or glides across water.

The resulting forms suggest places and sensations without fully defining them; the images evoke the remembrance of something glimpsed, inviting an open and imaginative interpretation.
